Fall

Bill Klaven began his fall. The only screams that went with him were from the other people on the bridge.

He had been standing there, high above the world, admiring the scenery when he had looked down. The ground had rushed away from him and he became fascinated with how far away it was, the vastness of space in between him and solid ground.

That is when the thought came into his mind to jump. This thought did not come into his mind as a result of depression mind you. It was not the result of dissatisfaction with his life. It was simply an impulse. One which he followed through with.

The fall, the speed, the wind streaming past him. It was a rush, and he appreciated this. But he was all too aware this would be over shortly, and then where would he be? He had plans for the future, he had dreams. Now all he had was the fall. His impulse had robbed him of the rest of his life and that was rather bothersome to him.

Like Bill, this story ends quite suddenly.
